Dana Mather

Dana Mather | Physical Therapist

I grew up in Richmond, Virginia as one of 3 kids.  I went to ODU on a running scholarship and enjoyed track and cross-country competition for several years.  I received my Bachelor's degree in Biology there, and then went to PT school at the Medical College of Virginia, which is now known at VCU, for my Master's in Physical Therapy. In 2000,  I moved to the Shenandoah Valley where I settled and have raised my family for the last 21 years.  My children are 21, 18, and 16 years old and my oldest is a senior at JMU.  In 2020, I completed my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University. In my free time, I enjoy sticking my toes in the sand in the Outer Banks.  My clinical experience has included a variety of settings, but I have primarily worked in pediatrics for the last 12 years. I am a part of the Shenandoah Valley Regional Program (SVRP) which provides PT for students with disabilities in Rockingham County Public Schools.
