Hi! My name is Hanah Armstrong, and I am one of the Speech Language Pathologists at the McGaheysville location! I grew up in Madison County, and I am excited to be moving closer to the area with my husband! I completed my undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in the Spring of 2021 at James Madison University and my master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Calvin University in December of 2023. I worked as a Speech Therapist Assistant, while in my master’s program, in a public school, and I really enjoyed learning and being immersed in the field. During my master's degree, I gained a lot of experience in multiple different settings with a focus in fluency, early language, articulation, feeding and swallowing, and AAC devices. After completing my master's degree, I have since been working in the public schools. I have worked with various ages with numerous special needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Expressive and Receptive Language Delays, Speech Sound Disorders, Auditory Processing Disorders, Developmental Delays, Down Syndrome, and Apraxia. I love working with the pediatric population and improving communication skills through functional activities. It brings me so much joy to watch the growth of the clients to become effective communicators! During my free time, I enjoy hiking, kayaking, reading, trying new coffee places, and playing with my two dogs (Obee and Subie). I am so excited to be part of this community and working with you all!
